None whatsoever! We carry $5 million of liability insurance, are in good standing with the Workers Compensation Board, and are even licensed to perform in Banff and Banff National Park. We remove all risk from the client, so you don’t need to worry about anything when you hire us! If you are considering other dueling pianos shows, ask them what they’re doing to protect you as a valued client. Ask for their proof of insurance, a WCB clearance letter, and a copy of their business licenses.
No event is one sized fits all, so we always provide a custom quote based on your event needs. For example, if you have an audience larger than 500 people, we will need to discuss different production requirements than if you’re having an intimate event of 20.
Without a doubt. With a band, you typically have 4, 6, or 8 people on stage. However, when in a recessionary economy, such as we are now, all the additional expenses of rider requirements with a band may quickly escalate your event budget. Can you justify a band when sales are down 30%, or you’ve laid off hundreds of people?
With Dueling Piano Kings, we have minimal overhead, are able to customize your entertainment more easily, and, we even let you come up on stage and sing your favourite song with us. This is something most bands will not even consider. Lower costs than a band, more interaction, and more flexibility with the playlist that you want – this is just the start of how Dueling Piano Kings differs from hiring a band.
Whatever songs you want! Our shows are completely customizable, and Pat and Craig have an incredibly expansive repertoire. Whether you’re looking for standards, country, pop, or rock n roll, the Dueling Piano Kings will make sure that your guests get to hear exactly what they want!
Ideally a 16 ft wide by 12 ft deep area and stage that is 6-12 inches high is perfect. This allows us excellent interactivity and connection with the audience. However, we can still customize to any set up. A stage is not absolutely necessary at every venue.
No. We provide all requests forms – equipped with pencils – for your audience.
Just some power to plug into! Our show is very efficient and requires only 2 standard wall plugs for power. We bring the digital pianos (with beautiful shells that make them look – and sound – like real baby grands), the mics, the lights, the sound system, and everything else we’ll need throughout the evening, leaving you free to make sure your event is a success!
Absolutely! With a track record of providing fun, reliable musicianship and all-ages appropriate comedic stylings, you can count on Dueling Piano Kings to bring the best in professionalism and entertainment. Our show content is always clean, tasteful, and suitable for all ages.
A typical show runs between 2 – 3 hours without any breaks. However, we can customize performance length to your event.
Usually only around 60 minutes!
